Superb views from two levels

Tzortzi Bay lies on the east coast of Alonnisos, half way between Patitiri and Steni Vala. Flanked by hillsides of umbrella pine, olive and cypress trees, the sheltered bay has two beaches, a small tavern and just four private villas. Villa Amalia is set in private grounds just above the water's edge. The nearest beach is just a minute's walk away.

Terraces and verandahs, bordered by purple bougainvillaea, jasmine and lemon trees, overlook the bay and a garden path leads down through terraces of baby olives and cream-colored oleanders to a private jetty. The hiring of a boat is recommended so that days can be spent exploring the many caves of the east coast and visiting the nearby ports of Steni Vala and Kalamakia,where one can find a good selection of taverns by the sea.

The villa is spacious and simply but comfortably furnished. Privacy is assured and the location is delightfully quiet. There are many sitting out areas for both sun and shade with different aspects of the dramatic sea views. Villa Amalia enjoys a peaceful and secluded location and we recommend a car hire for ease of access to shops and taverns. Patitiri and Stenl Vala are six kilometers away.

Lower floor: one double bedroom leading to sea-facing terrace and steps up to a side terrace and bathroom with shower.
Upper floor:f sitting room and dining area leading to covered sea-facing verandah with barbecue; one double bedroom; well-equipped kitchen; bathroom with bath and shower. All doors and windows have mosquito netting.
